SheIn Geometric Maxi Dress Under $25 Style Steal!

Thank Goodness its Thursday!!! So I know you want the deets on this dress. So its time to spill the tea!  This dress is EVERYTHING, right??!! I love a good maxi dress. But, it's so hard sometimes to find the "PERFECT" maxi. The geometric print, high slit, and the movement of the dress gives it life. I was happy when SheIn reached out to me to choose a piece from their line to review. I'm always on the hunt for a stylish maxi dress. So as soon as I saw this dress, I knew I'd have to have it. It screams my style!! And its under $25!!! Drops the mic!

Now, here are a few things you need to know about this dress before you order!

 1. Size DOWN!! - this beauty runs big. I normally wear a small (size 4), but I chose an Extra Small in this dress and I still had room up top (itty bitty committee anyone?). So I strongly suggest to check out the measurements on the site or just go a size down. You won't lose the fluidity of the dress, but you don't want it to sag on you either.

2. Wear a Slip!!!- As you can see, this dress has a very high slit. There were a few times that I almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment while shooting in this dress lol. So make sure you put a little something underneath so that you are not caught in a "woman down" situation

3. The dress is thin- The material on this dress is thin and very lightweight. So don't expect it to have weight. It may be of concern to you, but this doesn't bother me as the dress still looks and feels amazing. Perfect for this Texas heat! Just keep in mind to wear a slip or seamless shape wear underneath so that panty lines are not seen.

4. Shipping- this dress is being shipped from overseas! I received this dress about a week or two after I ordered it. So please make sure to read about the shipping times!

Denim Jacket Salute!

The denim jacket is one of those staple items in your closet you don't really appreciate until you really need it. To be honest, I got rid of the denim jacket I had and as the saying goes "you don't know what you got until its gone" rings true. So I purchased this one and I love it. Its the perfect jacket to throw on with anything and go! From jeans, dresses or skirts, the options are endless! I like to roll the sleeves up and stack a few bracelets on for a little extra "umph!" I also loved pairing my black, ripped jeans with the brown, suede over the knee boots and snakeskin bag. Its a great mix of textures and adds a little excitement as well.

Edgy and Chic Valentine's Day Look!

Happy Sunday! With Valentine's Day just around the corner its time to peep into your closet and put together a stylish look! If you're like me, when date night rolls around or special occasions like Valentine's I always draw a blank on what to wear. More like hating everything in my closet and wonder where are my tops, dresses and everything else lol. So this time around, I thought ahead and managed to put together an edgy look, but yet chic look for you. This simple silk, one shoulder top is absolutely perfect for a special night and can you believe I found it on thredUp? thredUp is a wonderful site where you can find gently used or like new clothing by great brands at a fabulous price! This gorgeous top, along with my favorite ripped, boyfriend jeans and my favorite camel coat makes for an easy outfit. Throw on some great jewelry and you're good to go!

Sophisticated Valentine's Day Look -The Red Jumpsuit!

Hello There! Valentine's Day is around the corner, can you believe it?  I started searching high and low a few weeks back for the perfect night out look for Valentine's Day. I believe I've found it! Who doesn't love a sultry, red outfit for a night out on the town?? This quintessential red jumpsuit is the perfect mix of sophistication, sass and sexiness and I'm here for it!! It was FREEZING the morning we shot this look. I was so glad I brought my faux fur jacket along to keep me warm! I've had this coat since last year and I am always so excited when the weather gets cold enough to wear it. Pair the red jumpsuit with the faux fur jacket along with gold accessories and you have a winner!! Just wait until you see your honeys' mouth hit the floor when you walk out in this gorgeous jumpsuit. Are you convinced that you NEED it yet? It also comes in a blush, nude pink shade, as well as black. All for under $50?? Get it girl!!! 

Oh and make sure you check the size chart on the site when ordering so that you have the right size. I am wearing a size 6 according to ASOS size chart and my measurements.

NYC Street Style: All the Layers

Can you believe that Christmas is only days away? I have so much to do and so little time. It's a little hard to get into the Christmas spirit here in Dallas when the weather is still quite warm. I was excited to head to New York over a week ago to experience some winter weather. Well, was I in for a  surprise when the high was 60 degrees during the time we were there! It was still a little chilly, but perfect weather to layer with fur vests, knee boots and parka jackets. I love layering because you can take off or add on and still be warm, as well as comfortable. I also find its better to carry a smaller bag when layering outfits so that you're not adding on any additional bulk. This merlot, suede cross body bag was the perfect companion for touring the city. It holds so much and is so easy to throw on and go! I wore it as a cross body and as a clutch for night time attire as well.

I promise to fill you in on more details about my trip to New York very soon! As I said earlier, I have so much to do to prepare for Christmas. So I better let you go and jump on my Christmas shopping ASAP!

Hey There!! It's time to get that Christmas shopping started if you can believe it. I've got some great gift guides for your bestie or nearest and dearest friends.
